What future development is planned near the Sohna elevated road?
Near the Gurugram-Sohna elevated road, our records show two big road projects: the SPR elevated corridor to Vatika Chowk and the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway. The SPR corridor is approved and re-tendered, with a planned link to the elevated road, and the expressway's Sohna end has been open since February 2023. Add the DND-Faridabad-Sohna spur, reported done on 20 October 2026, and a Sohna Road metro that's still at report stage.
One thing we have to say up front. We hold no record of our own on the Gurugram-Sohna elevated road itself. So we can't give you its opening date, length or cost. What we do hold is how other roads, transit lines and housing projects connect to it.
This guide covers each one and its status, plus new housing along Sohna Road and in Sohna. HRERA is the Haryana Real Estate Regulatory Authority. For the area overview, see our Sohna locality page.
What do we know about the Gurugram-Sohna elevated road itself?
Very little from our own records, and we'd rather say so than guess. The road appears in our data only as the link the SPR corridor's Vatika Chowk phase would connect to.
Our SPR corridor record says a Vatika Chowk interchange is planned as Phase II. It would link to the Gurugram-Sohna elevated corridor. It also says the project should improve links between Dwarka Expressway, NH-48 and the Gurugram-Sohna elevated road. That's all we hold.
If you need the elevated road's details, check them at the source. Sohna-Gurugram Road is NH-248A, a national highway. So look for updates from the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) and the roads ministry, which the Press Information Bureau publishes. Don't rely on a brochure's travel time.

DPR means detailed project report, the study a project needs before it can be approved and funded. GMDA is the Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority. For how infrastructure feeds into prices across the city, see our Gurgaon infrastructure impact report.
How will the SPR elevated corridor connect to Sohna Road?
Through Vatika Chowk, but not yet. The first phase runs from NH-48 to Vatika Chowk. The interchange that links it to the Sohna elevated road comes in a later phase.
Our record describes Package-1 as a 4.2 km GMDA corridor with four lanes each way. It adds service roads, ramps and an interchange at NH-48. It was approved on 7 March 2026. A fresh tender notice followed on 1 October 2026 at about ₹776.19 crore. Bids are due by 18 November and open on 19 November 2026. GMDA gives 30 months from the award of work, and no award has been made.
Our news desk reported on 3 October 2026, citing the Hindustan Times, that the first tender at ₹755 crore was withdrawn in June. The state wanted changes to the request for proposal. GMDA's CEO told the paper that two later phases are still at DPR stage. Phase II is the Vatika Chowk interchange, and Phase III is an 8.5 km stretch toward Ghata. Read our report on the SPR elevated road tender for the detail.
So, for a home buyer, the earliest finish of the first phase is 30 months after an award that hasn't happened. The Vatika Chowk link to Sohna Road has no date at all in our records. Prices on the Southern Peripheral Road already sit well above Sohna's. Our 2025 averages were ₹15,500 per sq ft on SPR and ₹8,200 in Sohna.
What do the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway and the Faridabad spur mean for Sohna?
They're the roads that are actually open. The expressway's Sohna end has run since February 2023, and the Faridabad spur is mostly open, with the Delhi end on trial.
Delhi-Mumbai Expressway, Sohna to Dausa
The 246 km Delhi-Dausa-Lalsot section opened on 12 February 2023. It starts on Sohna-Gurugram Road (NH-248A) near Alipur village. It meets the KMP Expressway at a cloverleaf interchange at Khalilpur village in Nuh district. The Press Information Bureau said it cut Delhi to Jaipur travel from 5 hours to about 3.5. In the collector-rate lists, a village line named Alipur in Sohna tehsil rose 0.1% in 2026-27 and 10.1% over two years. A collector rate is the minimum value the district sets for registering a property.
DND-Faridabad-Sohna spur
This 59.063 km, six-lane spur links the DND and Ring Road in Delhi to the expressway at the KMP interchange. Our news desk reported on 20 October 2026 that, according to The Times of India, the final stretch is done. Trial runs from Sarai Kale Khan to Sohna and Palwal took 40 to 45 minutes, against around 3 hours at peak time. The 9 km Delhi stretch is open on trial, and the 50 km Haryana section is open with a toll. An inauguration hasn't been confirmed.
Our report on the expressway's final stretch and Sohna buyers has more. The paper itself said real time savings will depend on traffic, so test the drive at peak hour.
Is a metro coming to Sohna Road?
Not soon, on what we hold. A metro corridor along Sohna Road is only at the report stage.
A Haryana government press release of 30 December 2025 covered a board meeting of the Haryana Mass Rapid Transport Corporation. It listed a corridor from Subhash Chowk via Rajiv Chowk and Sohna Road to the railway station as in the pipeline. Consultants were appointed to prepare reports. There's no approved route, station list or budget in our records.
Closer in, the Gurugram Metro from Millennium City Centre to Cyber City is under construction. Its 28.5 km route lists Subhash Chowk and Sector 48 among its stations. Our record shows about 11% physical progress up to June 2026. A 2029 finish is only our reading of the chief minister's "within the next four years" (September 2025), not an official date.
A Vatika Chowk to Panchgaon metro was also envisaged as a 30 km corridor, with RITES as consultant. Our post on Panchgaon metro connectivity and property prices follows that line.

The line for all developed sectors in Sohna rose 75%. Our tracker put Sohna's 2025 average asking price at ₹8,200 per sq ft, mostly for flats. Our Sohna price forecast for 2030 sets out the low, base and high cases.
