Litigation history

Updated Sep 2026. Supertech Ltd has been in insolvency since March 2022; on 5 Feb 2026 the Supreme Court upheld NBCC as the completer of 16 stalled projects covering about 49,748 homes. On 22 May 2026 NCLAT refused to exempt NBCC from RERA requirements; NBCC’s appeal was listed in the Supreme Court for 24 Sep 2026 and we have not found the outcome. In a 24 Sep 2026 affidavit reported by Hindustan Times, the Supreme Court-appointed committee told NCLAT that construction on the 16 projects is scheduled to begin from 16 Jan 2027, with tenders issued in phases from October, and flagged funding as a key challenge. Group companies outside that plan are in separate proceedings: Supertech Realtors (insolvency from June 2024) and Supertech Township Project Ltd, developer of Supertech Golf Country, in insolvency since 12 Jul 2024 and NOT covered by the NBCC plan. The Noida twin towers were demolished by Supreme Court order in 2022.

Buyer guidance

Should You Buy a Supertech Project?

Supertech carries more risk than most developers we rate. If you are considering one of its projects, favour completed or nearly completed towers, check its debt and cash flow, or credit ratings and company filings if it is privately held, confirm the project's escrow account and RERA progress, and avoid large upfront payments.

Check before you book

  1. RERA registration and quarterly progress for the exact project and tower you are buying.
  2. Credit ratings and company filings, because Supertech is privately held and does not publish audited results.
  3. That 70% of buyer payments go into the project's separate escrow account, as RERA requires.
  4. Financial strength: check its debt and cash flow, or credit ratings and company filings if it is privately held.
  5. Why 2 of its projects are flagged as stalled or under a status warning on our records, and whether that affects the project you are considering.

The bottom line

Our Verdict

Avoid new money entirely. Buyers in the 16 NBCC projects have a court-backed completion path but no confirmed restart dates yet; buyers in projects outside that plan, such as Supertech Golf Country, do not — check which company and which process your project sits in.
