Hindon Bridge Delay: What It Means for Buyers and Investors in Noida Sector 146 and Knowledge Park 3
Hindustan Times reported that the six-lane Hindon bridge linking Noida Sector 146 with Knowledge Park 3 is held up again, waiting on an irrigation department clearance. Until the approach road is finished, the shortcut stays only partly usable, which pushes back any connectivity-led demand near both ends.

Illustrative What happened?
Hindustan Times reported that the six-lane bridge over the Hindon river, joining Noida Sector 146 and Knowledge Park 3 in Greater Noida, has run into another delay. Noida authority officials told the paper the holdup is a pending clearance from the irrigation department.
According to the report, the bridge structure itself is finished, but part of the approach road on the Greater Noida side is still incomplete and cannot proceed without a no objection certificate. The Greater Noida authority had earlier aimed to finish by September 2026. Work started in March 2019 against an original target of September 2020.
A Greater Noida authority official told HT that an earlier land dispute has been settled and that IIT Delhi has vetted the project and sent its report, which has gone to the irrigation department. The official said completion would take three months once approval comes. HT said the irrigation department's executive engineer did not respond to requests for comment. The paper also noted that some residents already use the route even though the approach road is unfinished, and that a tender has been floated for streetlights along the bridge.
Which sectors are affected?
- Noida Sector 146
- Knowledge Park 3, Greater Noida
- Sector 144, Noida
- Surajpur
- LG Chowk
- Noida-Greater Noida Expressway
Potential impact
For now, the delay mostly postpones a benefit rather than removing it. HT quotes officials as saying the finished route would cut the trip from Sector 146 towards LG Chowk and Surajpur from 30-40 minutes to around 15 minutes, and spare drivers a detour along the expressway up to Pari Chowk. Any price or rental support from that shorter link is unlikely to build up while the road remains partly unusable, and it is hard to say how much of it buyers already assume.
The three-month completion estimate comes from an official of the authority, not from the department whose approval is awaited, and this project has already missed two deadlines. Readers should treat the timeline as an aim, not a commitment. Noida's average of about ₹11,200 per sq ft in our data is a citywide figure and says nothing specific about these two sectors, so we cannot attach a price effect to this news. Any gain in demand, if it comes, is likely to be gradual and uneven.
